DFW DJ Rod Baker brings a wide area of experience to his career. A former ad agency and newspaper media guy, he's dabbled in real estate and IT technical recruiting. All along the way, he DJ'd as a fun side hustle. About 15 years ago, he made the leap to full time dj and hasn't looked back. It's his passion and he truly loves what he does. He's an industry mentor and loves helping and working with newer vendors.
Rod has picked up quite a few industry awards in his career. Most notably, he was awarded the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners "Favorite DJ" Vendi Award. He also has won awards from Fort Worth's Professional Wedding Guild, Dallas' Society of Wedding Professionals, and DFW NACE.
Rod is a journalism / advertising graduate of Oklahoma State University. He has an eccentric and diverse set of interests and hobbies. He's a studied poker player and actually finished runner up in a World Series of Poker circuit event.
